Lead/Engineer:
MicroWave Technology Inc. (MwT), An IXYS Company, is a growing
company focusing on high performance GaAs based microwave devices, MMIC’s,
and microwave amplifier module products for wireless communication,
military, and industrials applications. MwT is currently looking for a
leader/senior designer on MMIC/RFIC products; the duties are to design and
develop a broad range of high performance MMIC/RFIC products for commercial
and military applications.

Job description:
* Work with marketing people and potential customers to propose and define
product family;
* Generate product development plans and carry out the tasks in a timely
manner;
* Propose and define circuit architectures to achieve the functional and
performance goals;
* Simulate and design RFIC/MMIC circuits based on available device
models/parameters/design rules;
* Layout mask sets based on design and design rules provided by foundry or
internal fab;
* Work with foundry and define processing parameters;
* Line up proper packages to satisfy thermal, electrical and cost goals;
* Develop assembly plan using outsource assembly;
* Develop testing plan including testing equipments and testing spec's for
internal testing or outsource testing;
* Develop manufacturing costs models;
* Develop complete production documents and lead the production transfer;
* Support production related issues as needed;
* Interface with customers and provide application supports as needed.
Qualifications:
* BSEE degree or equivalent; advanced degrees are desirable;
* Minimum 6 years direct and hands-on experiences on MMIC/RFIC design,
layout, foundry, packaging, and testing;
* Familiar with high frequency device characterization (DC, small signal,
and loadpull etc.), device modeling, and GaAs based pHEMT and HBT process
technologies;
* Familiar with microwave test equipment and measurement;
* Excellent written and oral communication skills;
* Experience in military / defense jobs desirable;
* Self-motivated and pro-active personalities.
