MicroWave Technology Inc. (MwT), An IXYS Company, Won a Major Contract from BAE Systems

August 14, 2009. MwT Inc., based in Fremont, CA, a wholly owned subsidiary of IXYS Corporation (Nasdaq:”IXYS”), announced that it has been awarded a contract from BAE Systems with total amount over $2.5M. MwT has been a well known supplier to Military and Defense Industry for the past 25 years. MwT manufactures high performance and high quality microwave semiconductor devices, MMIC’s, modules, and subsystems for wireless communication infrastructure, defense, industrial, and medical equipment applications. The contract that MwT has won consists of a large volume of custom connectorized microwave amplifiers with military electrical specifications and high reliability requirements.

In addition, MwT has strong design capability on MMIC products. New MMIC products include 2 - 10 GHz wideband MMIC driver, 2 – 20 GHz wideband MMIC PA, and 6 -18 GHz wideband MMIC PA (Power Amplifier) chips, etc. These MMIC products are available in both chip form and in surface mount hermetic packages that operate up to 20 GHz.
